GARRETT, Winnifred Mary Grandison (nee Clarke) - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Guelph, on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, on the anniversary of her 81st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Canon John Charles Garrett (2005). She was the loving mother of Elizabeth Garrett of Guelph, Mary Elfring (Garrett) and her husband Gary of St. Charles, Illinois, Allison Sullivan (Garrett) of Guelph, James Garrett and his wife Bernice of Acton, and Clarke Garrett of Kemtpville. She was the loving grandma of Erin (Stewart), Michael (Fiona), John (Laura), Matthew, Adrianne, Jessica, Laura, Conor, Kevin, Andrew, Sarah, Lauren and Christine, and the loving great- grandma of Owen and Finlay. Pre-deceased by sons John Thomas Portt, Andrew Aubrey Clarke, and grandsons Thomas Hector and Cameron John Garrett. Win is survived by two sisters Beatrice (Clarke) Young of B.C. and Ruth (Clarke) Shane of Ontario. She is predeceased by one sister Marion (Clarke) Henry. Win was involved in various parish ministries, including A.C.W., Altar Guild, Delegate to Synod, A.C.P.O., and she was an Associate of the Sisters of St. John the Divine in Toronto. She received her certificate in graphoanalysis, and was an avid bridge player, gardener, and reader. Win and John's lives were surrounded by love given and love received. They embraced family and friends graciously welcoming all into the comfort and warmth of their home. A Memorial Service will take place at St. James Anglican Church, Kemptville, on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lanark.
