McCAW James James McCaw, born September 18, 1926 in Sanquar, Scotland, passed away July 21, 2006 in Calgary. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Maria; his siblings, Bill, John and Sarah; as well as one son Robert. He is survived by his friend and companion, Shirley Bencharski; his sons, James (Kathy), David, Kevin and Douglas. Jim loved his grandchildren, James, Krista and Danny; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Alyssa. A quiet and caring man, he will be missed by all who knew him. At Jim's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a late date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6. In his memory, a memorial tree will be planted at Fish Creek Park on September 17, 2006. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at the Colonel Belcher Facility for their help and support during James' illness.
