CHAMPAGNE, Roger Émile - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Sunday, July 30th, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Isidore Hector and of the late Victorine (née Decourie) Champagne. Beloved husband of Thérèse Champagne (née Landry) of Sudbury. Loving father of Madeleine Bisaillon (Rolland), Gisèle Tomac (John) both of Sudbury and Marc Champagne (Annick) of Toronto. Dear brother of Reverend Sister Aline Champagne (sscj), Isidore Champagne (late Réjeanne), André Champagne (Pauline), Reverend Sister Lucile Champagne (sscj), Jean-Guy Champagne (Lucienne) all of Ottawa, Carmelle Harrison (late Larry) of New York, U.S.A., Yvette Deschamps (Lorenzo) of Hanmer, Lucien Champagne (Claire) of Orléans, Juliette Champagne of North Bay, Suzanne Gervais (Bernard) of Wendover and Lilianne Joanisse (Jacques) of Shawville. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Maxine, Bruno, Brian, Jason, Émilie and his great- grandchildren Samuel, Brièle and Alyzée. Roger was a supervisor at Inco, retiring in 1984. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree, council 1387, Sudbury for many years. Roger was very dedicated to his family who will always cherish their many memorable family trips. He always had a wonderful sense of humour, a passion for camping and wearing all his different hats. He will be sadly missed by all his cribbage buddies. Family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday August 4th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in l'Annonciation Church, Sudbury. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
