
MALETTE (Scanlan), Pierrette - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Saturday, August 26th, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Daughter of the late “John“ Jean Charles and of the late Léone Flore (née Charron) Scanlan. Former wife of the late Claude Malette. Loving and gentle mother of Robert Malette (Donna) of Lorwell Lake, Paul Malette (Christine Faux) and Nicole Koski (Russel) all of Sudbury and Nathalie Malette of Toronto. Dear sister of Yvette, Dorothy, Marcel, Rita and Helen. Predeceased by her brother and sisters John, Marie, Cécile, Simone and Jacqueline. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Steven, Eric, Michelle, Robin, David, Christopher, Kaitlin, Alexander, Grace, Max and by her great-granddaughter Izabelle. Pierrette , a well known artist who taught watercolour, enjoyed painting the northern landscape and will be remembered for her unique watercolour stylings. She was a spiritual person who had a warm and loving nature. Not only was she beautiful on the inside but Pierrette also reigned as “Miss Sudbury“ in 1945. The family will receive friends and relatives at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre- Dame, Sudbury), Tuesday, August 29th, 2006 from 6-7:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Donations to the Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated.
