Catherine Jane Taylor Mrs. C. Jane Taylor, 94, of Pro Tem Health Care Services, 61 Gorge Road, Moncton, formerly of Shediac NB, passed away at her residence on August 26, 2006. Born May 30, 1912 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ephrem and Olivia Kate (Steeves) Schoch. Jane was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, Provincial Normal School and Acadia University. She taught school for one year in Albert Mines and for several years at Pointe-Du-Chene NB. She married Harold F. Taylor in 1937 and they moved to Shediac NB in 1950. Jane was an avid bridge player, seamstress and gardener. She would be found tending her English-country style garden from early spring until late fall. She was an active member of CFUW Moncton, Trinity United Church Shediac, and a life member of the United Church Women. She is survived by three children, Beverly Taylor, Shediac NB, Martha (Blair) Wheaton, Ellershouse NS and Richard (Mary) Taylor, Moncton NB; eight grandchildren, Heidi Chance (Stephen Corkum), Boutiliers Pt. NS, Lisa Chance (Jamie Swinamer), Windsor NS, Ross (Danielle Batstone) Wheaton, Kentvillle NS, Jason (Maria) Trujillo, St. Paul NB, Melanie Wheaton, Halifax NS, Jennifer Wheaton, Toronto ON, Holly Wheaton, Halifax NS, Christopher Taylor, Toronto ON; and six great grandchildren, Emily, Olivia and Max Corkum, Caitlin and Luke Trujillo and Maren Wheaton. At Jane's request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment of her ashes will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital, the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the charity of one's choice.
