MARNEY, LLOYD FREDERICK - The death of Lloyd Frederick Marney, of the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, loving husband of Gloria Anne (London) Marney occurred peacefully on Monday September 4, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born 1932 in Saint John he was the son of the late Frederick and Edith Pearl (Thompson) Marney. Lloyd was a Welder for the Saint John Iron Works for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a former member of the Admiral Beatty Seniors Club, and a member of Carleton Kirk Activities Club. Besides his loving wife Anne he is survived by his son Damon Marney of BC; daughters Bonnie Bell (Robert) of Quispamsis, Veronica (Helen) Campbell, Beth McBride; and Brenda Marney (Lee Ferris) all of Saint John; sister Joan Harris of Saint John; sisters in law Mildred Marney of Saint John and Betty Kynock of Burton; 10 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Ralph and William Marney; sisters Jean Van Beelen and Edith Marney and two grandchildren. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday September 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation; Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice. [The Telegraph-Journal]
