HAINES, BERTRAM CLEMENT The passing of Bertram Clement Haines, husband of Joyce (Brewer) Haines, of Burtt's Corner, NB, occurred on September 4, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 20, 1922 in Burtt's Corner, NB, he was a son of the late Urban and Hazel (Estey) Haines. Bertram was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand. He loved gardening, especially his famous potatoes and enjoyed gathering at Bird's Corner Store for his morning coffee with his friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Katherine Jensen (David) of Fredericton, Michael and Alan Haines, at home, Janet Foster (Kevin) of Burtt's Corner and Sharon Richardson (Richard) of Millville; seven grandchildren, David, Stephen, Stephanie, Lisa, Angie, Sheena and Kaitlyn; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Colby and Grace; one sister, Glenna Haines of Burtt's Corner and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Gwendolyn. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 11 am with Rev. David Wellwood officiating. Pallbearers are David and Stephen Jensen, Eric Brewer, Trent Hill, Sebastian Fryn and Orlo Brewer. Interment will take place at Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery. Reception to follow at Kevin and Janet Foster's home, 1134 Route 104, Burtt's Corner. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
