Gerard Belliveau 1923 - 2006 It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of Thomas Gerard "Gerry" Belliveau, September 8th, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of late Joseph Thomas Belliveau and the late Elma (Noonan) Belliveau. Gerry loved being with his family and will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Marie Jeannette "Jinx" (Bourgeois) and children, Don (Irene) Miramichi, NB, Tom (Brenda) Sackville, NS, Allan (Jocelyne) Irishtown, NB, Carol Cowan (Andrew) Riverview, NB, and Michael (Michele), Irishtown, NB; brothers, Fred (Lorraine) Hampton, NB, Everett (Lillian) Ottawa, ON, and Donald (Gloria) Penobsquis, NB; sister-in-law, Dorothy, Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Sharon, Ricky, Nathalie, Andrea, Allison, Matthew, Gabrielle and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Samantha and Riley; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Edward. Gerry was a Veteran of World War II (RCAF), past president 1988 to 1994 and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 54 "Sunny Brae", Moncton, NB and a member of the Air Force Veterans Club, Moncton, NB. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service and War Medal 1939 to 1945. He was an avid sportsman having participated with distinction in tennis, softball, swimming and diving, bowling and darts. His favorite pastime in his later years was discussing old times, trivia and performing crossword puzzles. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gerry's Life at a memorial service at Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 10:30 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the IWK Children Hospital, Halifax, NS, The NB Lung Association, or the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care Unit".
