
PYNE, STERLING W. At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday September 12, 2006 Sterling W. Pyne of Fredericton passed away at the age of 91. Born in Devon, NB, he was a son of the late William and Lois (Brewer) Pyne and husband of the late M. Jean (Boreland) Pyne. Sterling was a former employee of J. Clark and Son Ltd with 34 years service and member of the Corp. Commisionaires for 10 years. He was a member of the United Church of Canada, life member and past president of the Marysville Royal Canadian Legion branch # 15, he was a Second World War army veteran serving overseas in the United Kingdom. He is survived by a son Douglas of Beaverdam; 3 daughters Lois Biddiscombe of Westfield, NB, Diane Johnson of Fredericton, Joyce Breau of Moncton; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers John of Fredericton and Arthur of Mississauga, ON; 2 sisters Doris Newman of Fredericton, Mary Foster of Maugerville; nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a sister Authureen; a brother Lloyd; and 1 great grandson. No visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at the Gibson Memorial United Church on Sunday September 17, 2006, 3:30 pm, with Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Thompson. Interment will be held at the Marysville United Church Cemetery. Memorials to the Gibson Memorial United Church, Palliative Care Unit at the Chalmers Hospital, or a charity of the donor's choice. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Jack Kerr, Warren Mitchell, Tim Potter, Lloyd Hodgson, Wayne Pyne and Barry Williams. Bishop's Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements.
