
Mildred P. Tanner 1927 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mildred Patricia Tanner, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi and formerly of Lower Newcastle, passed away at her residence, on Friday morning, September 15, 2006, at the age of 79. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Harriet (Lambert) Paul. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Reitman's Ltd., in Halifax, as well as a retired employee of Corrections Canada, employed in Lunenburg, N.S. She was Lutherian by Faith. She is survived by one daughter, Mavis Cooper, of Miramichi; her long time companion, Augustin (Justy) Savoie, of Miramichi; three grandsons, James, Archie, and Kenneth Cooper; one granddaughter, Amy Swain; eight great great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Poirier; her second husband, Gerald Tanner; one son, Joseph Poirier; one sister, Joan Nash; and three brothers, Donald, Clarence and Hubert Paul. Vitiation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Adams Funeral Home chapel on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Aguire. Interment will be in Moorefield Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Fourth Floor of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
