
SIMPSON, LEO The death of Leo Simpson of Haneytown, NB occurred on Thursday, September 21st 2006 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Enniskillen, NB on April 18th 1908 he was the son of John and Cassie (McCann) Simpson. Leo was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by three sons, Murray (Sharon) of Oromocto, Robert (Debbie) and Dennis Simpson of Fredericton; five daughters, Linda Phillips (James) of Hanwell, Shirley Tardif (Bob) of Arizona, Debbie Rice (David) of Saint John, Mary Rose Carr and Kathy Simpson of Fredericton; grandchildren, Stephen, Stewart and Murray Tardif, Jason Simpson, Sandra Stewart, Jill Gilbert, Sarah Simpson, Christian Steele, Julie Simpson, Amy Simpson, Mark Carr, Kimberley Carr, Peggy Mason, Maggie Soderman and Calvin Rice; great grandchildren, Taylor, Jaedan, Mataya, Blake, Ryland, Mekenzie, Dylan, Jamie, Neven, Declan, Evie, Sam, Alexa, Liam, Emma, Evan, Tracy and Timmy, Mya and Helen; great great grandchildren, Hailiegh, Aleczandria and Aarienna; daughter- in- law, Eleanor and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Lillian; one son, Richard; one granddaughter, Christine; six brothers, Joseph, Edward, Frank, Greg, Harold and Albert; three sisters, Mary, Maggie and Anna. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, September 23rd, 2006 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ken Weir will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
