
Verna Wry Williams It is with deepest sorrow that we, the family of Verna Wry Williams, 90, announce her passing on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Cookville, NB in 1916, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Flora (Robinson) Patterson. A truly precious mother, she will be sadly missed by daughters, Verna (Leaman) Mitton, of Cambridge-Narrows, Wendy (Andrew) Lund, of Connecticut; and sons, David (Martha) Wry and Fred Wry both of Moncton, and Thomas Wry, of Sussex. She was Nannie to 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Verna is also survived by her sister, Ena Wedel, of Amherst and by her brother, Willie Patterson of Sackville. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald Wry (1952) and by her husband, Murray Williams (1987); also by sisters, Grace, Nina and Mary; and by brothers, Fred, Hersey, Raymond and Seward. In keeping with Mum's wishes, her remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a private family service will be held. Burial will be in the Sackville Cemetery, next to her beloved Gerald.
