CALHOUN, COLBY The death of Colby Calhoun of Holtville, husband of June (Clowater) Calhoun occurred on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Astle, NB, he was a son of the late Fred and Laura (Hunter) Calhoun. Mr. Calhoun was a truck driver and worked for Carroll's Enterprises as an underground Mine Worker. He was a member of the Holtville United Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78 and a past member of the Upper Miramichi Valley Fire Department. Besides his wife, Mr. Calhoun is survived by one daughter, Nicole Moir of Toronto, On; nine sons, Ronald Calhoun (Ellamae) of Bloomfield Ridge, Terry Calhoun (Greta) and Douglas Calhoun (Alice) both of Taxis River; Timothy Calhoun (Joanie) of Bloomfield, Andrew Calhoun (Shelley) of Boiestown, Daniel Calhoun (Karen) of Woodstock, Mark Moir (Jennifer) of Bloomfield Ridge, Troy Moir of Boiestown and Peter Moir (Kelly) of Timmins, ON; 19 grandchildren, Marie, Colby, Tiffany, George, Star, Kent, Justin, Christie, Tristan, Randall, Rodney, Lance, Lionel, Mackenzie, Charlotte, Amanda, Jessie, Christopher and Chad; four great grandchildren, Kayden, Hallie, Destiny and Lawson; one sister, Josephine Brown of Fredericton; one brother, Vincent Calhoun (Shirley) of New Bandon. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Munn) Calhoun; an infant sister, Phyllis Jean Calhoun; five brothers, Carl, Lester, John, Emerson and Claude. Visitation will take place at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2006 at 2pm from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Daley officiating. Interment will follow in the Cameron Hill Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
