MUNN, MARJORIE RACHEL (PRICE) Marjorie Rachel (Price) Munn of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 28, at the age of 93. Born in Priceville on September 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Hartley and Susan (Beek) Price of Priceville, NB. She was a member of the Boiestown and Holtville Pentecostal Churches but due to declining health, she was unable to attend services for the past several years. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Henry Festus Munn for 71 years. A loving and caring mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed for her gentle ways, kind spirit and quick wit. She was a fabulous cook and will be remembered for her delicious cakes, cookies, pies and of course, her homemade bread and baked beans. She was one of those old time cooks who never needed a recipe. She had a great sense of humour and was well known for her witty remarks and humorous poems that she remembered from growing up in Priceville. She is survived by eight daughters, Lorna (Melvin) Munn of Porter Cove, Anne (Eldon) Maston of Fredericton, Gladys (William) Munn of Ludlow, Geraldine (Winston) Everett of Four Falls, Edna (Cecil) Munn of Ludlow, Eloise (Douglas) Watson of Porter Cove, Connie (Kevin) Howe of New Bandon and Irma Munn of Fredericton; four sons, Abel (Vivian) of Doaktown, Allen (Evelyn) of Fredericton, Donald (Connie) of Blacks Harbour, Eldon Robert of Fredericton; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hooper of Blacks Harbour; 30 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; three great great grandsons; five sisters, Winifred Kenny of Fredericton, Mildred Clowater (Sanford) of New Bandon, Leola Smith of Calgary, AB, Doris Woodworth of Fredericton and Flora Rice of Saint John; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Jessie Charters, Juanita Fletcher and Louise Maston; three brothers, Henry, Stanley and Joseph Price; three grandsons, Derrick Munn, Gerry McGillan and Stephen Watson; one great granddaughter, Emily Jean Carter. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 2 pm with Pastor Russell Morehouse officiating; Rev. Arthur McElroy and Rev. Howard Reed assisting. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tom Maston, John McGillan, Darren Munn, Gary Munn, Kevin Munn and Stephen Munn. Interment will take place at Porter Cove Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimers Society of NB, or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
