FRAGNITO, Giorgio - On Saturday, April 3, 2004 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Giorgio passed away peacefully in his 91st year. Dear beloved husband of Antonietta (nee Anzovino) for 63 years. Loving father of Graziella Milosavljevic, Maria (Francesco) Leonardis, Giuseppe (Sara), Carmela (Pietro) Cristiano, Fiorenzo (Rosemary) and Rita Fragnito. Special nonno of Alessandro (Vicki), Mirella (Mario), Pellegrino (Josee), Patrizio (Roberta), Maria-Cristina, Giorgio (Misia), Stefania (Fred), Bruno, Daniele (Bernadette), Josie (Paul), Marcello, Catherina, Julus, Antonia, Amanda and Dante. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Pellegrino, Nunzia, Antonio, Pasquale, Vito, and Donato (Rosaria). Also survived by siblings-in-law Pasquale (Angela), Angelo, Sammy (Grazia), Carmela (George) and Grazia and also many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and Australia. Ê Mr. Fragnito has lived in Canada for 40 years and was an avid gardener and a man of many talents. He was actively involved in World War II, both as a soldier, and as a forced labourer in Germany from 1943 - 1945. Prior to that he worked as a civilian in Ethiopia from 1936-1939. Mr. Fragnito is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, where the family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil will be conducted on Monday at 3:30. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
