FREEL, Clair Jack - Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday March 25, 2004 Clair passed away at the age of 78. Brother of Willard David (Anne), Burley George and the late Walter John (1991). Brother-in-law of Mary Freel and the late Irene Freel (1999). Clair will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his good friend and traveling companion Marge Brooker. Clair served his country overseas in World War II as a Paratrooper in the 1st Canadian Airborne and was the only Paratrooper from the Niagara Area. Many thanks to the staff at Chateau Gardens Niagara and St. Catharines General I.C.U. for their much appreciated nursing and care of Uncle Clair. Mr. Freel is at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 415 Regent Street, where his family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil for Mr. Freel will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2:30 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 o'clock at St. Vincent De Paul Church. Rite of Committal will follow at the church cemetery.
