MAGLIOCCO, Carmela It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Carmela at the age of 85, Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of the late Antonio Magliocco. Much loved and treasured mother of Angelo (Maria Carrea-Hamilton), Giovanni (Marion Murray), Frank (Nancy Wilkinson), Rodolfo (Diane Carisse) and Maria (Domenic Pirrone). Cherished Nonna of Tony (Carmela Trombetta), Lolita (Armand Dowdall) and Daniella of Hamilton, Carmela, Julie (Marco Mariani), Angela (Pat Joanette), Tony, Tonya and Aldina of Ottawa. Loving Nanni of 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Emilia (late Bruno Bossio) and Giovanni DeLuca (late Mafalda). Will be dearly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends who so loved her as she was the epitome of love and peace. Daughter of the late Antonio and Luisa DeLuca of Lago, Cosenza, Italy. She is predeceased by her daughter Lolita Bianca Neve and her sister Maria. Sincere thanks to Father Paul for his great support, guidance and friendship to all our family during this difficult time. Many thanks and appreciation for the loving care from the 4th floor nurses of the Heart Institute, especially Mary, Nancy, Amanda and Tamara. Also great appreciation goes to the A3 nurses of the Civic Campus, especially Farah, Beth and Sue who gave such warmth and compassion from beginning to end. Great admiration and gratitude also goes to the palliative nurses Christine and Anne for their care and support along with Dr. Sara Brigham. Many thanks also goes to WE CARE nurses Beth, Amy and Daphne with personal support worker Linda. Last but not least thanks also goes to Dr. Evelyn Honsl for over 25 years of care for our mother. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 585 Somerset St. West (centretown) Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday to St. Anthony's Church (Booth & Gladstone) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Capital Memorial Gardens. In Memoriam donations to the La Madonna delle Grazie, Lago, Cosenza, Italy or Holy Mass Offerings would be greatly appreciated by the Family. "When a mother dies, she must face HIM with her record of accomplishments. If she's done a good job of caring for her children, she'll get the most sought-after position in heaven, that of rocking baby angels on soft white clouds and wiping their celestial tears with the corner of her apron. Mamma, we can never forget all your hard work and sacrifices, grazie, with lots of love and affection. You must be high up there with Jesus and Our Lady."
