MENARD, Ann Jean (nee Cuss) It was with great sadness we say goodbye to a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Ann Jean Menard died quietly on May 24, 2007 in her 74th year at the Pembroke Regional Hospital from complications due to Parkinson's disease. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Janet Borland Cuss and Frank Charles Cuss and younger sister, Florence. Ann will be greatly missed by her husband of 9 years, Orville. She left to mourn her six children, William (Danielle), Robert (Pascale), Brian (Nancy), Barry (Colleen) and Brenda, all from Ottawa and Susan of Gatineau. Beloved stepmother to Virginia (Glenn) of Haliburton, Sharon and Charles, Eganville and Shawn (Lisa), Ottawa. Ann will also be dearly missed by her brother Jack (Carole), Aylmer, PQ and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ann was waked at the Laundry Funeral Home, Eganville on May 25, 2007. A Roman Catholic Christian Mass was officiated by the Most Reverend Monsigneur Borne on May 26, 2007 with interment in the St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery. Prior to her retirement in 1994, Ann was a loyal and dedicated employee of the Canadian Bank Note Company. She was also an active member of the CWL and an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 353. Ann's final days were spent in the loving and devoted care of Rita and Ernest Hurd of Pembroke. Ann was a warm, kind and loving woman who cherished her family and friends. The Menard, Cuss and Cowling families would like to thank Rita and Ernest Hurd for ensuring that Ann's final days were happy ones. We also wish to thank the CWL, and Legion Branch 353 for their expression of sympathies and prayers; to all friends and extended family who sent flowers, cards, and donations to various charities. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 6/2/2007
