FRASER, Thelma Louise December 30, 1923 - June 4, 2007 Thelma Louise Fraser (nee LeClair) died June 04, 2007, after a brief illness. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, she is survived by her husband Angus; children, Garry, David, Stephen, and daughter Valerie (Woods), son-in-law William "Bill" Woods and grandchildren, Adam Woods, Courtney Woods and Tessa Fraser; daughter-in-law Karri, sister-in-law Mabell LeClair (Ottawa), niece Wendy (Matechuk) and nephew Glenn. She was predeceased by her parents, and brothers Orville and Peter. Thelma and her husband had celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on April 24, 2007. She will be remembered as an original committee member in the creation of the Q.E.II's "Festival of Trees" program. She will also be particularly remembered by many as an engaging and effervescent "volunteer" who, for years, greeted visitors to the Q.E.II's information desk, and in her unique fashion, helped illuminate their way. She continued to give of her artistic talents and energy in support of the QEII. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005-107 Ave). Light refreshments. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Grande Prairie Branch. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 6/8/2007
