BRAGG, Frederick (Fred) October 9, 1913 - June 10, 2007 The Bragg and Henderson families are saddened to announce the passing of a dear father, grandfather and brother on Sunday June 10th at the Gatineau Memorial Hospital in Wakefield Quebec, at 93 years young. Dearly loved father of Linda (Douglas Henderson) of Wakefield, Quebec and Cynthia of Guelph, Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Melissa and Jesse Henderson of Wakefield and DeAnne Lamirande of Toronto. Husband of the late Pauline Souliere. Brother of Roy Bragg (Elizabeth) of Toronto and the late Ruth (late Bud Hambly). Brother-in-law of Helen Souliere, Edna Baker, Marie-Berthe Souliere, Fernande Lamirande, Jerome Souliere (Eugenie) and Evelyne Souliere. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by the Henderson clan in Montreal and Thunder Bay and will be sadly missed by his dear friend and companion of the past year, Jeannette Mohlman of Wakefield. Fred spent the last year of his life in the village of Wakefield, overlooking two rivers, which he loved, and close to his daughter and grandchildren whom he cherished. Prior to that, he lived 33 years in Aylmer, Quebec. Most of his previous 59 years were spent in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario. He also lived in northern Canada and on ships as a radio operator. Fred's love of children and his passion for nature will long be remembered by those who knew him. He always had a laugh to share and a camera to pull out and loved getting his own picture taken. Thanks to so many staff at the Gatineau Memorial Hospital in Wakefield for their care in the last two weeks of his life and their assistance since March. Thanks also to Maureen McGrath for her daily care. A very special thanks to Karen DeNino for her support, visits and shared laughter every week for the past two years. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday June 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the Funerarium Beauchamp Chapel at 271 St. Joseph Blvd. in Gatineau (Hull), QC. (819) 770-1300. The family will remember Fred with colour - pink being his favourite. In lieu of flowers, donations to the hospital in Wakefield would be appreciated. - CSSS-des Collines, 101 Burnside Rd., Wakefield, Quebec, J0X 3G0. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 6/13/2007
