Frederick William Franklin Lea Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in his 86th year, at Hillcrest Village in Midland, Ontario, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Vera Lea for 65 wonderful years. He will be dearly missed by his son, Gary Lea of New Liskeard, and his loving daughter Sandra Lea of Midland. Treasured grandfather of Chris, Darcy and Mark Lea and of Steven, Paul and Sherri LePage. Proud great-grandfather of Kristin and Dustin LePage, Meghan, Amanda and Brandon Lea and of Taylor and Madison Lea. Predeceased by his father, Frederick Lea and mother, Bessie Lea, and brother Donald Lea, he will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Frank was an avid hunter, fisherman, carpenter extraordinaire, and creative photographer. He was a veteran of World War II, and a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #424 Bala for 54 years. Generous and warm hearted, Frank dearly loved sharing quality time and laughter with his family and friends and had particularly fond memories of life on the Moon River in Bala, Muskoka. A private celebration of Frank’s life was held in his home in Midland on Thursday, June 7. Our special thanks to the kind staff at Hillcrest Village for their extraordinary care and support.
