CHAYKA, RAYMOND LESLIE "Puggy" 1948-2007 The family announces with great sorrow his sudden death at his residence on Friday, May 15 th, 2007 at the age of 59 years. Loving husband of Monique Chayka (nee Lalancette) and dearest father of Rodney Chayka and Jason Chayka both of Timmins and estranged daughter Jo-Ann. Cherished grandfather of Devan, living at home with them, Mikaela and little Kayleb all of Timmins. Predeceased by his father Leslie (1993), mother Lucille (2005), sister Lana (2005) and his mother in-law Anita (1990). Survived by his brother Robert Chayka (wife Colleen) of Conniston, Ont., Chris Taylor (husband Randy) of Sudbury, Ont., Donna MacDonnell (husband Jim) of Marathon, Ont., Cindy Chayka and her daughter Allysia of Conniston, Ont.,. Survived by his father in-law Lucien Lalancette of Sudbury, his brothers in-law: Ron Lalancette (wife Sue) of Sudbury, André Lalancette (wife Sylvie) of Ottawa, sisters in-law: Lynne Vranhx (husband Andrew), Lise Pilon, Gaetane Golden (husband Alan) all of Ottawa and his estranged sister in-law Claire of Sudbury. Ray worked as a miner in Sudbury, Butte, Montana, he and his family moved to Timmins in 1980 where he worked as a property assessor for 25 years. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20 th, 2007 in the CHAPEL of the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Fr. Pat Lafleur will be officiating. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, remembrance donations the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
