After a short illness, Eddy Eugene Caron died June 10, 2007 at the Temiskaming Hospital. He had been a resident of Extendicare Nursing Home since August 17, 2002. He was born in Trois Rivières, Quebec, on October 19, 1917 to Wilfred Caron and Laura Pellerin. Educated in Ontario, he married Hilma Leclair in Kirkland Lake on November 14, 1941. Mr. Caron was a farmer, a mill worker with Hill Clark Francis and he also worked at the Cobalt Refinery. He was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church. Mr. Caron is survived by his wife Hilma; daughters Irene (Albert) Seed, Laura (David) MacDonell, Doreen (Eugene) Bugutsky, Sara (Michael) Burke, Trudy (Kevin) Evans and Roxanne (Bruce) Coulter; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister Rita Netherton and brother Albert; and his wonderful family and friends from Extendicare. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Henri, Donat, Alfred, Emile and Maurice. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the service conducted at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church by Father Lapalme. Pallbearers were sons-in-law Albert Seed, David MacDonell, Eugene Bugutsky, Michael Burke, Kevin Evans and Bruce Coulter. Burial is at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in New Liskeard. Relatives and friends attending the service from out of town came from Ottawa, Churchill, Lisle, North Bay, Sudbury, Malartic and Barrie. Condolences and donations may be left at
