Jean-Claude Therrien died June 9, 2007 from a heart incident at Hornepayne Community Hospital at age 62. Born May 3, 1945 in Clermont, Québec, he was an avid sports fan. Predeceased by a son Martin Therrien in 1979, his parents, and brothers Jean-Paul in 2006 and Raymond Therrien in 2005, he leaves his wife Claudette, daughters Nathalie of Hearst and Marie-Claude of Hornepayne, sons Christian of Hearst, and Richard of William Lake, B.C., and their companions. Also surviving are his sisters Madeleine of Shawinigan Sud, Denise, Ghislaine, Lise and Linda, all of Macamic, Qué., a brother Bertrand of Rouyn-Noranda, Qué., and seven grandchildren. Commemorative donations may be made to the Nord-Aski Diabetes Education Resource Centre or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
