PETERSON, AGNES The passing of Nancy Agnes Peterson, of Fredericton, NB wife of the late Garnet Peterson, occurred on June 27, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 28, 1919 in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Janet (Dunlop) Morton. She was a retired school teacher having taught at the Marysville School her entire career. Nancy was a member of the Marysville Baptist Church; Ponds Mission Society and the IODE Marysville Chapter. Nancy enjoyed bowling, curling and golfing. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed winters in Florida. Nancy loved to garden, taking her daily walks and spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Thompson of Fredericton, Debbie Monroe of Fredericton and Cindy (Michael) Crowley of Kincardine, ON; brothers, Jim (Elsie) Morton and Bob Morton of Fredericton; sister Ellen (Rusty) MacIntyre of Barrie, ON; grandchildren, Shelly Monroe (Brad Thomas), Jennifer Monroe (Crystal Brewer), Kelli (Joe) Colter, Michael Thompson, Justin and Ryan Crowley; great grandson, Drew Colter; sister-in-law, Jean Morton; several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents and husband, Nancy is predeceased by her brothers, Andrew, Morris and William Morton; son-in-law, Tike Thompson; sisters-in-law, Irene Morton, Annie Johnston, Evelyn and Jean Peterson; brothers-in-law, Johnny Johnston, Harrison and Vance Peterson; nephews, Philip, Jimmy and David Morton. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, June 29, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at the Marysville Baptist Church on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. David DuBois officiating. Interment will take place at the Marysville Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Marysville Baptist Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
