RYAN, CHRISTINA - In loving remembrance, we celebrate the life of our wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Christina Ryan, who passed away peacefully on June 28, 2007 at the exciting age of 82. Born in Cambuslang, Scotland on March 31, 1925, she is predeceased by her devoted and loving husband, Frank. She will be fondly and lovingly remembered by her sons and gracious daughters-in law, John, Paul (Karen), Richard (Debbie), and Peter (Louise), as well as her grandchildren, Christina, Michael, David, Kevin, Karen Joy (Rene), Keely (Jason), Sheryl, and Laurie; as well her great grandchildren, Lorcan, Emily, Faith, Hope, and Raymond. Christina is survived by her sister Marion, and in-laws Sherry and Pat Ryan (Calgary), and Jim and Mary Ryan (Fredericton) and many loved nieces and nephews. Christina's beauty and soul will best be remembered in her undying love and devotion to her family; in the strength of her faith in God; in her open and independent spirit; and through the special place she held in her heart for seniors and the less fortunate. A special word of heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all who extended their hearts, love, and support throughout Mom's final journey, with special mention to her devoted friends in "The Breakfast Club" and St Peter's Young at Heart, as well as the shining nightingales of 4 North. Life is a journey not a destination; her new journey has just begun; we say prayers to celebrate her everlasting life on Wed. July 4th at 7pm at Columbia Bowell Funeral Chapel 219 Sixth Street, New Westminster (604) 521-4881. Funeral mass to be held Thursday July 5th at 12noon at St Peter's Church, 398 Royal Ave., New Westminster, Father Joseph Hattie OMI, Officiant. Reception to be held 1-3pm after mass at Judy's Restaurant 4th/Columbia New Westminster. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to Reverend J.M. Abraham SJ, SASAC, Canadian Jesuits International #100-1325 Bay St. Toronto, Ont., M5R 2C4 or through: www.sasac.net "Small is Beautiful - tiny seeds of sacrifice and love yield so abundant a harvest" June 30, 2007
