DILLON, James Gerald 1935 - 2004 Peacefully in the presence of his family, Jim passed away on Sunday, July 25th. He was the loving son of Mary Elizabeth and the late Captain Gerald Dillon of St. John's, Newfoundland. The beloved husband of Pat and the proud and caring father of Chris (Laurel), Sue O'Brien, John (Gail), Brian (Alexandra), Peter (Deb), and Terry (fiancee Dana). Also left to mourn are grandchildren Brendan, Matthew, Maclean, Mark, Emma-Rose, Eryn, Eva, Alex and Lindsey, as well as his brothers, Mike and Frank of St. John's, and his sister Geraldine Hill of Phoenix, Arizona. Jim enjoyed his working years immensely, particularly his time with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, and teaching at Ottawa Technical High School. He loved vacationing at his summer home in Newfoundland. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 26th, and from 2 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27th. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 194 Fourth Avenue, on Wednesday, July 28th, at 11:00 a.m. Donations to The Hospice at May Court, 114 Cameron Avenue, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
