BAIN, Robert Brian (Bob, “Bainsea”) - Owner/Operator: R. Bain Construction Ltd. January 17th, 1950 – April 5th, 2007 - Following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer, Bob Bain passed away on Thursday, April 5th, 2007 peacefully at his home in Innisfil, Ontario with his family by his side. Bob was born in Barrie, Ontario and was raised in Ivy. He began working in the construction field in his early twenties and eventually started his own business in 1982. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and would often be found on his “Bainsea” boat in either Lake Simcoe or Georgian Bay. When the weather got cooler, he would dress in camo and spend days in the bush. While he was in the bush, he preferred watching the wild life rather than hunting for it. Bob had a passion for hockey. “Boomer” was a co-founder of the Innisfil Oldtimers Hockey and was instrumental in establishing the Innisfil Flyers while sponsoring the team. Bob was a very gentle man. He will always be missed for his sense of humour, determination and love for his family. Daddy is now together with “Ruthie” his loyal K-9 friend. Beloved husband of Dianna Bain (nee Archer) for 35 years. Loving father of Monica Demaine (Joe) of Innisfil and Robert (Stephanie) of Barrie. Special papa of Courtney and Adam Demaine; and Olivia Bain. Predeceased by parents Cecil & Minnie Speers and Roy & Mary Bain (Rainey). Dear brother of Douglas Speers (Kathy) of Moonstone, Lawrence Speers (Susan) of Denmark, David Bain of Barrie, Dianne Bain of Barrie, Kimberly Sarjeant of Bancroft, and Doug Bain of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Bob will be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOMES, (201 Minet's Point Road at Yonge Street), Barrie on Monday from 2-4 & 7- 9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, April 10th, 2007 at 3:00pm. Spring Interment Cookstown United Church Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Cancer Research Foundation or the S.P.C.A. would be greatly appreciated. Condolences may be forwarded to the family through 10604055
