EVANS, Margaret Barbara (nee Flurey) Barbara Evans died peacefully on July 1, 2004, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary K. Flurey, her husbands, Alex Morrison and David Evans, her daughter Lynda and her son-in-law Guy Lockhart and her brother Gerry Flurey. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Barbara St-Jean (Jim), her stepchildren, Kitty Flurey, Nicholas and Rodney Evans, her grandchildren Nicholas St-Jean and Scott Lockhart, her sister Norah Ford (Bob), her brother Rev. Robert Flurey and sister-in-law Joan Flurey. Sadly missed by her nieces Deborah Wright (Bob), Meribeth Mackle (Greg) and nephew David Flurey (Diana) as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. At Barbara's request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her brother Father Flurey on Monday, July 5, in St. Joseph's Church, Palace Road, Kingston at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in St. John's Cemetery, Gananoque, following the mass. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Mission Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family. The family wish to thank their many friends for their kindness, support and prayers and are especially grateful to Dr. J. W. Leacy, Dr. R. Siemens, and the medical and nursing Staff of the Kingston General Hospital for their professional efficiency, courtesy and loving care.
