MONAGHAN, Terrence John "Terry" 54, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully Friday, July 2, 2004 in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born March 4, 1950 in Quebec City, he was a son of the late John W. and Eunice (Corcoran) Monaghan. Terry was employed with BMO Bank of Montreal for 31 years having held several positions throughout Atlantic Canada. He was also involved in several community organizations having held such positions as Vice-President of Symphony Nova Scotia and co-chair of Shakespeare by the Sea. At the time of his death, he was a Board Member of Crosbie House Society. Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberley Bourgeois; daughter Jaclyn, Halifax; son, John, at home; sisters, Maureen Monaghan, Cathy (David) Becker, all of Ottawa; brothers, Larry (Joan), Calgary; Dan, Pennsylvania; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, Colby Village, Father David Poirier, S.A. officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. If so desired, a donation in Terry's name to Crosbie House Society, P.O. Box 15, Coldbrook, N.S. B4R 1B6 would be appreciated. Special thanks go to the several family members, friends and Health Care Professionals who provided Terry with enormous comfort throughout his well fought battle.
