Miss Anne Shutiak November 21, 1913 - November 4, 2008 - SHUTIAK – Our favorite Aunt, Anne Shutiak passed away on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 at Sherbrooke Community Centre with her family by her side. Prayers will be held on Thursday, November 6th, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. both from Park Funeral Chapel, 311-3rd. Ave. North, Saskatoon. Officiating will be Rev. Father Andre Lalach. Anne was born in Vonda, SK on November 21, 1913 and took her schooling in Vonda district. She worked in fish camps in Northern Ontario. When Anne came back to Saskatchewan, she worked in Saskatoon City Hospital and later at St. Paul’s Hospital from where she retired in 1978. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, flowers and caring for the young children in her family. Anne is survived by her one sister, Frances (Michael) Turta, Saskatoon, SK,; nieces and nephews, Margaret (Frank) Moshinski, Hazel (Jim) Robertson, both of Saskatoon, SK, David (Alicia) Turner of Toronto, ON, Leslie (Brenda) Turta and Laura Krawchuk, both of Saskatoon, SK; several grandnieces and nephews; and great grandnieces and nephews; two nieces in law, Flo Remenda and Marlene Remenda. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Mary (Buga) Shutiak; two brothers and one sister in infancy; three sisters, Ella Remenda, Kay Shaw, Thelma Turner; two nephews, Ron Remenda, Sief Remenda; and one grandnephew, Bob Remenda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sherbrooke Community Centre, c/o Reminiscent Way, 401 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon S7H 2E7. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery, Saskatoon.
