Mr. Bud Quinn August 2, 1933 - November 4, 2008 - Bud Quinn 1933 - 2008 It is with deep sadness the family of Bud Quinn would like to announce his passing at his home on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Bud was born in Midland, Ontario and came to Saskatoon in 1955 to attend the training camp of the Saskatoon Quakers of the Western Pro League. He was so impressed with Saskatoon, that he returned in the summer of 1956 to make Saskatoon his home. Bud joined the Fire Department in October of 1956, and retired as Chief of the Department in October of 1989. Bud spent many years as a scout for the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals. Bud’s love of the game of hockey, as a scout, player and player rep was equaled only by his love of the outdoors, were he spent many hours hunting big game and birds with his hunting dogs, which he loved dearly. Bud leaves behind his wife, Joan; daughter, Brenda (Terry) Kirilenko, and grandsons, Brandon, Ryan and Sheldon; his son, David; stepsons, Brad, Andy and Jeff Yorke; and stepdaughter, Lisa (Brad) Adams. Donations in Bud’s memory may be made to the Saskatoon SPCA, PO Box 3050, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 3S9 or to Ducks Unlimited Canada, 603 45th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W5. The Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK.
