Mr. Leo Lidemark July 2, 1924 - November 6, 2008 - Mr. Leo Lidemark, aged 84 years, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, November 6, 2008 in St. Joseph’s Hospice. He will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his family; wife of 51 years Christine, sons Gary (Eileen), Dennis (Janet), daughters; Catherine (Chris), Janice (Craig) and Karen, brother Frank, sisters Ida (Clary), Gunvor, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Bent. Leo was a Transit Operator with Thunder Bay Transit for 35 years and was also a school bus owner and operator. He helped build the House of Denmark. Leo loved and was at peace doing any type of gardening. He was a lifetime member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5. A celebration of Leo’s life will be held for family and close friends in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. followed by a reception downstairs. Rev. Dan Repo officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Leo's family would like to thank Dr. Chan , Dr. Simpson, the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice and 1A Floor Staff at the regional hospital for their compassion and care. Family in attendance from out of town are; niece Sharon Dinnes (Sudbury), Grandson Ryan Lidemark (Vancouver,BC), granddaughter Crystal Lidemark (St. Catharines) and their mother Sherry Lidemark (Victoria) and Clary Gatien (Sudbury).
