Georgina Anne Labrecque September 2, 1939 - November 13, 2008 - Georgina Anne Labrecque (Dengler) of Red Cliff, Alberta passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2008, at the age of 70, with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Labrecque of Redcliff, Alberta, her children Tim (Kim) of Otterburne, Manitoba, Pamela (Gerry Lastowski) of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Jamie (David Whaley) of New Port Richey, Florida, and Brent (Brenda) of Drayton Valley, Alberta, as well as extended family. Born September 2nd, 1938 in Allan, Saskatchewan, Georgie, also known as Torch to many, was the only child of Carl and Lena Dengler. The Dengler family lived in various locations in Saskatchewan, before relocating to Biggar, where she met Jack, the love of her life. Jack and Georgie were married on June 14th, 1958, and started their married life in Edmonton, Alberta. Their family gathered in Edmonton earlier this year to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Services and a celebration of her life will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing), on Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Fr. Michael Koch as celebrant. Rite of Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Society of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, 666 – 5th Street, SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6 would be greatly appreciated.
