Mrs. Gladys Mary Whitford September 19, 1927 - November 18, 2008 - Our mom, Mrs. Gladys Mary Whitford, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2008. Her life journey ended peacefully at her home. This morning was no different than any other, setting a big batch of bread and cooking a ham for lunch. An example of a life filled with love and dedication to her 6 children and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Though her pathway was filled with hardship, trials and testing – each challenge was met with faith in a God that never left her side. The simplicity of daily events picking berries, canning, growing a huge garden, sewing and knitting quieted her spirit. It brought her great joy and satisfaction in the pleasure that resulted from the gift of friendship shared with everyone who sat around her table or wore her mitts or harvested from her garden. Her days on earth are done but her days of eternity have just begun. We Audrey (Dave) Allman, Lavina (Mike) Basaraba, Leona (Bob) Pelletier, Gordon (Julie) Whitford, Al (Jan McCloy) Whitford, Barry (Tamara) Whitford and all of our families are forever grateful for your love and commitment.
