Mrs. Phyllis Louise Ouellet January 20, 1932 - November 22, 2008 - OUELLET, Phyllis Louise 76, Hubley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax on January 20, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Kathleen Nevin. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Guy Thomas Ouellet, Hubley; children, Ruth Catherine Ouellet, Ottawa, Ont.; Francois Pierre Ouellet, Banff, Alta.; Guy Stephen Ouellet, Halifax; Michelle Louise Ryan, Halifax; Alice Jacqueline Ouellet, Halifax; grandchildren, Christian, Alyssa, Jonathon, Solange, and Guylaine; her sister, Ruth (Nevin) Mccumber and brother-in-law, Ray Mccumber, Halifax; brothers, John Nevin, Chester; Bob Carter, Ontario, and Larry Carter, Alberta. She was predeceased by beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Ryan. Living a full life and enriching everyone's lives she had contact with, Phyllis' rich life influenced many people in the Capitol Theatre on Barrington Street, radio and TV personalities of CJCH, the health care professionals and their patients in the Abbie Lane Hospital, as well as the IWK Health Centre (Emergency Department). Her infectious smile and bubbly personality, along with her kindness with others, left a long-term impression on many of the volunteers, especially with the Camp Hill veterans, the members of the Prayer Line, those involved with the wonderful organization of the Catholic Women's League and all the members of the Chiefs and Petty Officers Association. She will be missed by all and memories of her will last a long time for those who have been touched by her presence. Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Ward of the VG Site, QEII. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 29, at 11 a.m. in St. Marguerite Bourgeouis Church (Sacred Heart Church), Timberlea. Family flowers only.
