Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Treleaven July 21, 1951 - November 25, 2008 - TRELEAVEN, Elizabeth Ann "Liz" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liz on November 25, 2008, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Port Morien, Cape Breton, on July 21, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Rankin) and John MacLeod. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 27 years, Paul, and beautiful daughters, Alison and Sarah, both of Lake Echo. She is also survived by her only brother, Donald (Virginia), Grafton, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Michael (Barb), Edmonton, Alta.; Stephen, Musquodoboit Harbour, several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her little dog, Maggie. She was employed by the Province of Nova Scotia in various capacities for 25 years. She was a past member of the Lioness Association for many years, a past member and secretary of the Preston PC Association, former Sunday school teacher at St. David's United Church, Lake Echo, and a former member of the Bell Park School PTA. She was a great lover of camping, gardening and crafting. She also enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. Liz will always be remembered for her kind heart and her many quips and quotes that brought laughter to all that knew her. As sick as she was, she never lost her sense of humour nor her ability to bring on laughter. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, November 27, in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main St., Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 28, at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Cheryl MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial in Musquodoboit Harbour United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society for brain cancer research, 7A Palliative Care Unit, VG, QEII c/o QEII Foundation or St. David's United Church Memorial Fund, Lake Echo.
