MAROIS, Mildred “Millie“ Janet - In loving memory of Mildred “Millie“ Janet Marois, 65 years, who passed away Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 at the SRH-Laurentain Site. Beloved wife of Bernie Marois. Loving mother of Lisa Doucet (Dan) of Hanmer and Jeff (Roxane) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Alexandre, Cameron, Olivia and Jake. Loving daughter of Arvo and Helmi both predeceased. Dear sister of Alan Niemela deceased, Helen Ranta (Oiva deceased), Aileen Davis (Paul), Linda Black, Sharon Grenon (Bruce). Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by in laws Joseph and Bertha Marois. Sister in law of Lorraine Marois,(friend Bill) of Toronto, Shirley Trevisiol (Louis predeceased), Rita Houle and Jeannine Marion. Millie was born in Sudbury in 1943 and married her high school sweetheart in 1963. After finishing high school she worked for the School Board and then with Xstrata (Falconbridge) for 19 years. Millie's pride and joy were always her children and grandchildren, whom she dearly cherished. All will miss Grandma's homemade Finnish buns and her famous homemade pizza which she loved to spring as a surprise for family dinners. Millie was as excellent a cook, housewife, wife, mother and grandmother as any family could have. She loved cottage life at French River. She will be remembered as an unselfish person who always put others' needs ahead of her own. Funeral Mass in Holy Redeemer Church 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury Thursday, November 6th, 2008 at 11 A.M. My deepest sympathy Posted by Jo-Anne Laplante (Falconbridge co-worker) on 11/5/2008 1:23:26 PM I really enjoyed working with Millie - she was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed. Her family was her pride and joy as was evident when she would share many stories during our breaks. My condolences to her family at this very difficult time. May her memories help ease the pain.
