LAAKSO, Raymond Oliver - In Loving Memory of Raymond Oliver Laakso, 73 years, who passed away Friday, November 14th, 2008 at the Maison Vale INCO Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Copper Cliff, Raymond worked for INCO as an electrician and later a communication technician, retiring with 37 years service. He enjoyed bowling, curling, traveling and many happy years at the cottage on Hain Lake. The family wish to thank Dr. Cano, Suzanne Benoit and the staff on 8th floor Laurentian Site, Dr. Dube, the staff and volunteers at Maison Vale INCO Hospice for all their loving care and kindness. Beloved husband of Thelma (Sippola) Laakso of Sudbury. Loving father of Larry (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Troy and Avalon. Dear brother of Esko predeceased (Lois of Azilda), Osmo (Lorraine) of Media, PA., Leo (Helen) of Sudbury, Judy of Vancouver, Anita (Pekka) of Unionville and David (Faith) of Niagara Falls. Special brother-in-law of Darlene and Brent Comba. Special “uncle Ray“ of Evan (Cara) and Ryan, and many other nieces and nephews. Private Family Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Tuesday, November 18th, 2008. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
