LINDBERG, Ingrid Isabelle 2008-12-06 Mrs. Ingrid Isabelle Lindberg (nee Hogan), age 89 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord at St. Joseph‘s Hospital on December 3, 2008. Born on November 23, 1919 in Port Arthur, she was educated locally at Port Arthur Collegiate. She went onto attend Ontario Bible College in Toronto. From there she received her nursing diploma in 1947 at Belleville General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in various locations as a Registered Nurse including McKellar Hospital and ended her career at Pinewood Court on James Street. Isabelle enjoyed nature, and loved spending time outdoors with her family. She was also involved with the Canadian Sunday School Mission, the Gideon‘s, Christian Women‘s Club and was a long standing member of Redwood Park Alliance Church. Isabelle is survived by her children, Terry (Anne) (Langley, BC); Gary (Bonnie); Mark (Catherine); Brent; David (Laurie) (Mackenzie, BC) ; sisters Dora (Thunder Bay); and Shirley (Maple Ridge, BC.); nineteen grand and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, son Daniel, parents Peter and Golda Hogan, sister‘s Lillian, Eleanor, brother Harvey and special sister-in-law Miss Violet Lindberg. The family would like thank St. Joseph‘s Hospital Palliative Care Center staff for their compassion, kindness, dedication and care towards us and our Mother during her time there. Thank You! Interment has taken place at Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial service for family and friends will be held to honour Isabelle on December 10, 2008 at 11:00am at Redwood Park Church with Rev. Doug Doyle officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. If friends so desire in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in honour of Isabelle Lindberg.
