Mr. Dennis Ernest Eaves Funeral arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home (London) DENNIS ERNEST EAVES Sept. 7, 1943 - July 25, 2004 Dennis passed quietly and peacefully into the arms of his Saviour, at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus on July 25, 2004, in his 61st year. Dennis was born to Nellie (Larcher) Eaves (deceased 1964) and William (Bill) Eaves (deceased 1967) on September 7, 1943 in Windsor, Ontario, where he spent his youth. He joined the R.C.A.F. at age 18 and two years later, while stationed in North Bay, Ont., met his future bride, Judy (Van Buskirk). Dennis and Judy were married in 1964 in London, Ontario, where Dennis had just started his new job with "Bell Telephone Company of Canada". Their 40 year marriage was blessed with four wonderful sons and four very dear daughters-in-law...Jeffrey and Ann; Bradley and Diana; Derrick and Shannon (St. Catharines), Kevin and Brigitte. After taking an early retirement from Bell Canada in 1997, Dennis accepted contracts with Nortel in Virginia, for two years and then later, with Lucent Technologies in Markham, Ont. for another two years. He fully retired in October 2001 due to poor health. In the spring of 2002, Dennis became a Grandpa and a whole new world opened up to him. Jameson brought much joy into his Grandpa's life, giving Dennis a new lease on life and a hope for the future. Dennis also leaves behind his close sister Joyce and very special brother-in-law Sam of London; his brother Len (Kay) of Windsor; sister Dorothy, Shirely and Janice (Dave) all of Windsor. Special family friend, Karen (Blair) Scrivens of Picton, Ont. Dennis will be missed as well by his parents-in-law, Jim and Mary Van Buskirk of Redbridge, Ont., and many other family members and close friends. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Rd. (East of Highbury). The funeral service will be held at North Park Community Church, 1510 Fanshawe Park Rd. E., at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, Rev. Terry Sanderson officiating. Dennis favourite piece of Scripture was Matthew 11:28 "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest".
