HOSSACK, JAMES (JIM) WILLIAM The death of James (Jim) William Hossack of Fredericton occurred on Saturday, July 24, 2004, husband of the late Reta (Porter) Hossack. He is now enjoying the heavenly horse hauls. Born on September 12, 1915 in Williamsburg NB. He was the son of the late James B. and Caroline (Carrie Clarkson) Hossack. He worked in the woods, on the farm, CNR and George Street High School, retiring from the Federal Building in 1981. He has been a member of St. Anne's (Parish) Church for many years. He has a great love of horses and horse hauls. He enjoyed family, fishing, fiddling, hunting and story telling. He will be sadly missed by his only daughter Doris Stairs (Glen) of Cardigan; grandsons Michael (Shelley) of Fredericton and John (Shelley Spencer) of Sunshine Coast, BC; much loved great-grandchildren Meagan, Kyle and Mark; three sisters Estella Bennett of Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB, Pearle Boyce and Sadie Fullerton of Williamsburg; one brother Bertie of Royal Road; two brother-in-laws Charles and Douglas Porter; several nieces and nephews; special friends Betty and Larry McDorman, Lawra and Darren Hanscomb and special niece Margaret Fullerton. He was predeceased by one brother Ray; two sisters Jennie Logan and Hilda Dorcas; and grandson Peter Stairs. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB on Monday July 26, 2004 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Williamsburg Community Church on Tuesday at 3:30 with Rev. Ranall Ingalls and Ven. John T. Sharpe officiating. Reception will follow in the Women's Institute Hall. Burial will be in the Williamsburg Community Cemetery. Do to allergies in the family they have requested no flowers. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
