Marie Lillian Rossiter 1936-2004 ALMA, NB - Marie Lillian Rossiter, 68, of Alma passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Moncton on March 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Arthur and Selena (Williams) Arsenault. Marie was a member of the West River United Church. She was a homemaker and spent many years as a nanny for the Smith family. She loved to paint and has many of her oil paintings all over Albert County. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, who was always there for her family. She cherished times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed watching ball games and never missed a game when the girls were playing. She was the ultimate fan and you could always count on Marie giving her comments to the umpire. She had a great sense of humour and loved to have a good laugh. She was a member of the Friendship Club and enjoyed playing cards. Marie was a very special lady who will be missed by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Ramona Edgett of Alma, Susan Rossiter (Brad) of Alma; three sons Brian Rossiter (Carolyn) of Waterside, Kevin Rossiter (Jennifer) of RiversideAlbert and Christopher Rossiter of Toronto; her six beloved grandchildren Kimberly (Jason), Kelly (Troy), Gregory (Amanda), Edward, Kyle and Keri; her three great grandchildren, Olivia, Alexa and Chandler; seven sisters, Reta Smith, Beatrice Macfadden, Elizabeth Martin, Eva Allain, Lillian O'Connor, Mary Cormier and Juanita King; two brothers, Gerry Arsenault and Donald Arsenault. She will also be sadly missed by her late husband's family "The Rossiter Family"; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Hartford Rossiter in May, 2000. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 2:30pm with Rev. Val Chongva officiating. Internment will be held in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma. Following the Committal Service at the cemetery, the family will be meeting with family and friends at the Alma Activity Center for further sharing of memories and refreshments. Donations to the West River United Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
