CLARKE, Edward (Ted) With sadness in our hearts and happy memories in our minds, our family announces the passing of Edward (Ted) Clarke in his 78th year. With his family by his side, Ted died peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Bluewater Health, Norman Street Site, Sarnia. Cherished husband and best friend of 54 years of Theresa (Terry) Clarke. Treasured father to Richard (Connie) Clarke, St. Andrews, Manitoba; Greg Clarke, Brian (Jan) Clarke, all of Sarnia; and Pamela (Jamie) Carpenter, London, Ont. Grandfather to Shane, Dale (Janine) Clarke of Edmonton; Jessica Clarke of St. Andrews, Manitoba; Brandon Clarke of St. Catharines; Dana and Christopher Clarke of Sarnia; and great grandfather of Destyn Clarke of Edmonton. Beloved brother of Mary Berry, Windsor; and loved brother-in-law of Lorraine (Tiny) Bondy of River Canard; and Rena (Lenard) Poupard, Lakeshore, Ont. Predeceased by his parents Marion and Dick Clarke, Windsor; brothers-in-law William Berry and Harry Renaud, Windsor; and in-laws Florence and Leo Renaud of Riverside. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Cathrina (Scott) Taffinder, British Columbia; Ian (Dea) Berry, Windsor; Ken (Heather) Bondy, Riverside; Larry (Judy) Bondy, Windsor; Sandra (Mike) Devine, LaSalle; Janice (Dave) Field, Belle River. Very special friends Bill Majovsky, George Scott, Jack Peacock, and LuAnn Jeffrey, Sarnia. Ted was retired from Nova Chemicals Ltd. as of June 1, 1990. A graduate of The Ford Trade School in Windsor and worked for 25 years with Ford Motor Company in Windsor, Oakville, and Dear-born, Michigan. Ted spent 5 years with Crane of Canada as head of purchasing in Montreal and held a similar position with Nova Chemicals (Petrosar) in Corunna. Served in the Royal Canadian Navy and Reserves during the Second World War, was an ardent golfer and was a member of Huron Oaks for many years. A member of St. George's Anglican Church. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, 248 Vidal St. N. (at Charlotte), Sarnia. Interment Lakeview Cemetery
