BURNS, John Gerald Passed away July 1, 2004 at Central Park Lodge at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by wife Ruth (nee Studer). Dear friend of Loretta Poole. Loving father to Patricia Jones and husband Lawrence, Thomas Burns and wife Beverley of Florida and Helen Burns. Cherished grandfather to Brad, Mira and Paul Jones, Angela and Marnie Burns, Raigan and Taryn Burns, great grandfather to Kayla, Jon, Khalil, Maya, Jayson, Janai, and Ayla. Dear brother to Dorothy, Leona, Loretta, and Leo, and predeceased by Eileen, Lawrence, Marjorie and Patrick. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. John was a member of the 3rd Degree K of C 9793 St. Therese. Served as a pilot in W.W. II with the R.C.A.F. Active as an eucharistic minister, reader, usher and great pepper player at the R.C.L. Br. 255, Concorde and St. Therese Church. He was an avid curler and golfer at the Windsor Curling Club and Roseland. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday July 4, 2004 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus prayers Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at St. Theresa Church (1991 Norman Rd.) on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery
