COMEAU, Roy Wallace - 56, Meteghan, Digby Co., formerly of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away Monday, June 7, 2004, at home. Born October 22, 1947, in Meteghan, he was a son of Cecil Farris, Kentville, and the late Mary Ella Farris. Roy was a truck driver for 40 years and met lots of people in his travels who became long-time friends. He enjoyed his work and was employed with G.K. Morse Trucking before his illness. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Mabel Comeau, Meteghan; daughter, Heather (Fred) Jones, Kentville; stepdaughter, Tina (Darren Durling) Spencer, Berwick; grandchildren, Victoria, Jessica, and Emily; brothers, Ralph (Sharon) Comeau, Aldershot; Paul (Carlotta) Comeau, Robert (Cheryl) Comeau, all of Kentville; Wayne (Gina) Comeau, North Alton; Joseph (Gladys) Comeau, Thunder Bay, Ont.; foster brothers, Paul and Adolph Trahan, Meteghan; foster sister, Gloria Outhouse, Deerfield, Yarmouth Co.; foster mother, Josephine LeBlanc, Meteghan; mother-in-law, Hilda Musseau, Aylesford; brothers-in-law, Don (Tanya) Musseau, Berwick; Randy (Kendra) Musseau, Eastern Passage; Christopher Musseau, Aylesford; sisters-in-law, Dinah Short, Port-Aux-Basques, NL; Darlene (Vince) Gillam, Grand Bay East, NL; Elaine (Terry) Saunders, Peggys Cove. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by sister, Margaret Comeau; father-in-law, Gordon Musseau; grandson, David Roy Durling. He also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick, where a prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in the memorial chapel of the funeral home, Father Larry Pitcher officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Digby Branch of Victorian Order of Nurses Educational Fund or any charity.
