DOUCETTE, Clarence Emerson - 71, Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, September 15, 1932, he was a son of the late Stanley and Ethel (Fraser) Doucette. He worked in the mines and later was an employee of CNR for 35 years. He was an avid harness racing fan and horse owner. In his younger years, he enjoyed boxing as a sport. Clarence will be sadly missed by his brother, Fraser Doucette (Joan), Westville; sister, Jean Plummer, Florida; brother-in-law, Lawrence McCallum, Montreal; stepdaughters, Susan Richey, New Glasgow; Judy Farrell-Sokolowski (Rick), Edmonton, Alta.; Carol Ramsay (Brian), St. John's, NL; Linda Farrell (Joachim Dürr), Halifax; seven grandchildren. He is also survived by three nephews, two nieces, and two great-nieces. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Shirley (Taylor-Farrell); sister, Phyllis McCallum. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday in Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, Ms. Lori Crocker, D.M. officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.
