Claire Marie Creamer (Girouard) 1902 - 2004 It is with great sadness that Claire's family announces the passing of a wonderful, gentle and warm lady, from life to life in her one hundredth and third year. Born Claire Marie Girouard at Sheila New Brunswick, February 3, 1902, Died at Mount St. Joseph, Miramichi, NB June 9th, 2004. Along with her humor and grace, her great faith in our Lord and devotion to His Holy Mother Mary has been a constant source of inspiration for all that knew her. Predeceased by her loving husband, William Stanley Creamer; by her youngest daughter, Margaret Maietta (Mitzi) Sugden; her parents, Damien and Domithilde Girouard; brothers, Damien, Louis, Edmund, Alphonse, Elzear, George, Octave, Antoine; sisters, Edna and Marguerite. She was the eldest sibling and last living member of her birth family to enter into her well-deserved rest. One niece, Evelyn Hebert and two nephews, Raymond and Eugene Girouard also predeceased her. She is survived by two daughters, Elsie Noreen Innes (Jack), Anna Isabella Smith (Elmer); son in law, Richard Sugden; one special niece, Eileen Washburn; and one special nephew, Eugene Breau. Seven Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren and Eight Great-Great Grandchildren. Also left to mourn are many cherished Nieces and Nephews spanning five generations. Prior to taking up residence at Mount St. Joseph, Claire was a master at all aspects of keeping house, from quilting (over one hundred) to bread making, to preparation of seafood (especially Atlantic salmon and seafood chowders). Her gentle approach to all aspects of life and her wonderful sense of humor, hallmarks of a life well lived will be greatly missed. Mrs. Marie Claire Creamer is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, NB, with visitation today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12th at 10 a.m. from St. Peter & St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church with Father Leon Creamer officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. At the request of the family donations to Mount St.Joseph's Nursing Home 2nd Floor or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
