Mr Peter Allen Boyd April 05, 1964 - December 08, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Valley View Funeral Home (Surrey) “The Best and Most Beautiful things in the World cannot be seen, nor touched, but are felt in the heart.” Helen Keller Boyd-Peter Allen passed away suddenly on December 8, 2004, 13 km outside of Boston Bar at the age of 40. Peter was born in Vancouver, B.C. and lived throughout B.C. during his childhood. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, seadooing, boating and traveling with his family. Peter met his loving wife Andrea in 1987 and after two weeks of courtship he soon realized that this was his soul mate and love of his life, they were married 8 months later. Peter started as a builder contractor and then ventured into the yacht building business working for West Bay Sonship. He started out as a shop builder and then soon moved up to Project Manager for the 58’ and 70’ lines. Later Peter moved onto establishing his own personal business Sands By The Sea Marine Windows, along with doing steel fabrication on the side. Peter was well respected by his customers and made sure that they were always happy with the finished product. Peter put his abilities and craftsmanship to personal use for his family by building a home of his dreams up at Bridge Lake as a getaway from the urban city. After establishing a home in Delta they later decided to move to the cabin and have a temporary residence for Peter in Langley to run his company in Delta. Peter had many accomplishments in his life that he was proud of, but his most prized possession was his 4 year old daughter Brittany. After trying to have children for so long and when all hope was lost they were blessed with having a little baby girl of their own. When tragedy struck their family four years ago when Andrea’s sister, two niece’s and two nephew’s died in driving their van home from spending Christmas with them. They soon took on the responsibility of raising their niece Melissa (13) as their second daughter. As a new family of four they traveled many places and just three weeks ago coming back from a trip to Disneyland. Who knew that just 37km and 4 years later that Peter would be taken away from us in such a tragic accident on the same stretch of highway and same time of year. Peter leaves to grieve his wife Andrea, his daughter Brittany and niece Melissa. His mother Maureen Manke(Dale), his brother Gordon Hamilton(Shari).
