Pearl Agnes Lacey July 08, 1914 - December 10, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) LACEY, Pearl Agnes - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on December 10, 2004. Pearl was born in Waverley on July 8, 1914. She was the loving wife of the late Clyde Lacey and the loving mother of Diane Gaudet and the late David Lacey. She will be forever cherished as a loving Nanny to her five grandchildren, Todd, Sean, Kevin, Kathryn and Leanne, as well as nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Diane and son-in-law Michael, and her sisters, Joyce, Mabel and Gladys. She will be welcomed in heaven by her beloved husband, Clyde; her son David; six sisters and four brothers. Pearl and Clyde were founding members and long-time parishioners of St. Stephen's Parish, Halifax. She was an avid baseball fan and she was thrilled to live long enough to see the Boston Red Sox shake off the curse of the Bambino. Pearl's family wish to express special gratitude to the staff of Ward 8.2 of the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, especially "Cute" Dr. Green, and a special thank you to her long-term physician, Dr. Ernie Johnson and staff. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, Halifax, Rev. Gilbert Bertrand OMI, officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
